In the vicinity of Marbella, you'll find a diverse selection of restaurants, ranging from casual eateries to high-end establishments. Along the boulevards of Puerto Banús and Marbella, you can enjoy leisurely strolls with the chance of spotting celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, or business. Of course, the stunning beaches of the Costa del Sol and the Mediterranean Sea are also there to be enjoyed.

The Costa del Sol boasts 50 golf courses stretching from Málaga to Gibraltar, with courses offering anywhere from 9 to 27 holes. Several are located near Los Lagos de Santa Maria Golf. This abundance of options has earned the area the nickname "Costa del Golf," and most courses are equipped with luxurious amenities.

There are also plenty of opportunities for water sports such as windsurfing, diving, and water skiing, with many tennis courts available as well. In winter, you can combine the sun and beach with a trip to the snow-covered Sierra Nevada, located near Granada and just a 1.5-hour drive away.

For a unique adventure, consider a day trip to Morocco. You can take a ferry from Algeciras to either the Spanish enclave of Ceuta or Tangier. A little farther afield (about 200 km) are Granada with its breathtaking Alhambra, Seville, and Córdoba. The charming hinterland also deserves exploration, with picturesque villages like Ojén, Istán, Coín, and Gaucín offering a true taste of Andalusian life.

Ronda, approximately 75 km away, is another must-see. Its Puente Nuevo, an impressive 18th-century stone bridge that connects the old and new parts of the city, spans a 200-meter-deep gorge and offers a spectacular view. Ronda is also home to Spain's oldest bullring and bullfighting museum.

No visit to the Costa del Sol is complete without seeing Gibraltar and its famous Rock, home to wild monkeys. Just 40 km away, Málaga, the birthplace of Picasso, offers a wealth of cultural attractions, including the Renaissance-style cathedral, the Picasso Museum, and the Alcazaba fortress.

Marbella:
Often referred to as the "Saint-Tropez of Spain," Marbella also has a more grounded side, especially in its charming old town. It offers a variety of beaches, catering to families, couples, and groups of friends alike. Water sports are readily available, and the beaches are complemented by some of the region's finest beach clubs. The area is also renowned for its Michelin-starred restaurants.

Every year, Marbella hosts the Festival Internacional de Arte, drawing art lovers from around the world to experience the local culture in all its colors and forms. For hikers, the Los Cuchillos Walk is a must, offering stunning landscapes, botanical treasures, and, if you're lucky, a glimpse of the elusive Iberian ibex.

In early June, Marbella celebrates its patron saint, San Bernabé, with a traditional Andalusian festival filled with food, music, and family fun.

Puerto Banús:
Puerto Banús is the epitome of luxury on the Costa del Sol, home to designer boutiques, trendy clubs, luxury yachts, and elite golf courses. Beach clubs and high-end shopping are in abundance here. For sports enthusiasts, there's no shortage of activities, from water sports to tennis, paddle, and golf. Renting a boat for the day is also a popular option. The nightlife is vibrant and exclusive, with well-known venues like Sala Beach Club and Ocean Club.

For a different experience, Puerto Banús also hosts the largest flea market on the Costa del Sol every Sunday, showcasing the area's down-to-earth side.

Mijas & Gibraltar:
Both Mijas and Gibraltar are nearby and make for great day trips, offering distinct cultural experiences and beautiful scenery.

San Pedro:
Nestled between Marbella’s glamour and the natural beauty of the Sierra de Ronda, San Pedro is perfectly located. The Central Plaza, with its beautiful church and surrounding streets filled with interesting shops and bars, is worth exploring. Every Thursday, the bustling market is a great place to hunt for bargains.

San Pedro, like Marbella and Puerto Banús, is known for its beachside bars serving delicious seafood dishes. The Cabrillo Pier and Whalers Walk are also lovely spots for a stroll, offering spectacular views of the sea.
