Le Grau-du-Roi is a famous seaside resort in the Gard region (Languedoc-Roussillon, southern France) and owes its fame to its picturesque fishing port and its vast marina, Port-Camargue. Part of the Gard region, it is located about 30 km east of Montpellier and 45 km south of Nîmes. Le Grau-du-Roi is the department's only coastal town, bordering La Grande Motte (Hérault) to the west and Saintes-Maries-de- la-Mer (Bouches-du-Rhône) to the east.
The town is lively and colourful and built around the canal connected to the sea.
The fishing harbour in the city centre is one of the most important on the French Mediterranean coast. The fishing trawlers returning to the harbour late in the day offer a colourful feast for the eyes. Around the port, you can find numerous shops and leisure facilities (sailing for beginners, boat rental, fishing, surfing...).

Fans of fish and sea turtles are sure to enjoy the Sea-Aquarium and Sea-museum, open all year round.
Enjoy Espiguette's beautiful nature, a dune formation 500m wide and 10km long. It is a protected nature reserve but open to the public.
Adventurers will also get their money's worth here. Renting a holiday home in Le Grau du Roi? Explore the region on horseback, on foot or by bike.
