2. Le Lavandou

Le Lavandou is a municipality in the Var region and forms part of the Toulon district. 3. Cap Benat

Cap Bénat is a small rocky point, surrounded by the sea, on the Mediterranean peninsula of the Var. It overlooks the islands of Porquerolles and Port-Cros. 4. Hyères

Hyères is the most southern point of the French Riviera and is also called Hyères-les-Palmiers thanks to the -you guessed it- many palm trees that have been planted there. Also from here you can see the islands Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. The 100 km long coastline of Hyères consists of beautiful sandy beaches, unique rock formations and fantastic views. The most famous part of Hyères is without a doubt La Route du Sel, the road to the peninsula that leads you straight through the sea and the salt plains, where you can also spot flamingos! Kite surfers and windsurfers can also be seen everywhere, as Hyères is a real paradise for water sports enthusiasts. More inland, there is also much beauty to be seen. 5. Porquerolles

Porquerolles is the largest island of les Îles d'Hyères and lies next to the other islands Île du Levant and Port Cros. They are also called les Îles d'Or, the Golden Islands. Once you set foot ashore, you will understand why. The South of France is already so beautiful, but there is always a unique atmosphere to be found on an island. Porquerolles can be reached all year round from Hyères and in the summer months also from Le Lavandou, Toulon and Bormes. The island is known for its beautiful beach and nature, where you can take a good brisk walk or bike ride. Take the walk to the lighthouse if you prefer a less intensive hike. That walk takes only about two hours there and back and you will be rewarded with a beautiful panorama of the whole island.
