We have found an exclusive mountain house, nestled in the Canton of Valais, boasting panoramic views and with direct access to the slopes of Les Portes du Soleil. I’ll stop there and let this sink in, as skiers know for a fact how precious these two elements are: direct access to slopes, and even better, Les Portes du Soleil.
This is Europe’s largest and most beautiful ski area, covering a mind-boggling 600km of slopes and linking 12 ski resorts in France and Switzerland. Les Crosets is the highest ski resort in the Swiss Portes du Soleil, at an altitude of 1700m above sea-level. It enjoys easy access to Chambery, Chatel and Avoriaz.
Needless to state the obvious, the views are spectacular. The house we have chosen for you, Chalet Le Pacheu, has terraces from where you can feast your eyes on the ever-changing mountains and their colours. Breathe in the crisp air, get on the slopes, and ski your troubles away!
Les Crosets is a family-oriented village, and it is a surprisingly quiet ski resort. It is known for its excellent snow conditions, and you will also find experienced instructors for both skiing and snowboarding at the world-renowned Swiss Ski School.
Of course, summer in the mountains is wonderful too. Hiking trails, biking trails, lakes and rivers, fresh air and no crowds. For many, this is the definition of blissful holidays! There are six hiking trails ranging from easy to hard, and totalling 50km, with breathtaking views all around and throughout.
The same goes for the biking trails, as Les Portes du Soleil is also referred to as “the largest mountain bike playground on the planet”, but keep your eyes on the path...
Les Crosets is recognized as one of the most charming and picturesque snow villages, and we certainly agree. The Chalet Le Pacheu is exclusive, and it is a magnificent destination in any season.
